In respond to the letter entitled " Caution in Usage of Synthetic Mesh in Repair of Incisional Hernia" (
1) I should mention, that mesh is used to repair the defects. High cost of the “Biologic Mesh”, less consistency and more probability of seroma formation after using “micro porous” mesh lead to a better acceptance of macro porous prolene mesh compared to mentioned types. However, the weak point of this type is its high chance of adhesion to the adjacent organs like small bowel. In our study,we used omentum as a layer beneath the mesh to reduce the probability of adhesion. Thus we did not have such problem ( 2).
